Certification
All of Stigterstaal’s products comply to the relevant standards in the marine industry including 3.2 inspection certificates.
Almost every day, we welcome representatives from such renowned certification authorities as DNV, ABS, LR and BV for recertification purposes. The external surveyors work closely with our own certification department to recertify materials, allowing us to guarantee quick turn-around times.
Additional testing
Sometimes materials are required to have special mechanical or chemical properties, or the steel has to be recertified or upgraded.
Stigterstaal regularly calls on specialist laboratories to carry out additional tests, for example tensile strength, impact, Z(35)-direction and ultrasonic testing. We once again take a proactive approach when it comes to these services.
For example, if you regularly require steel that has to meet additional specifications, we can keep the necessary materials in stock in consultation with you. Our delivery times will be faster that way, and extra testing becomes unnecessary.
